Credits and licences
We thank everyone who made this waqf possible. This page lists the sources of the mushaf text, data and fonts, the sources of the hadith and maps, and the open-source software we use, with their licences.
Before launch we are completing written permissions from the owners of some sources, and this page will be updated with them.
The Quran text is never modified
- We show the text of the Holy Quran exactly as it is in its licensed sources, letter by letter. No screen in the app or the admin panel can edit it.
- Every ayah has a digital fingerprint (SHA-256) that is compared with the official source when the app is built and when it starts; if a single letter differs, the build stops.
- Teacher notes and your own notes are layers on top of the page and never touch the text.
- If you notice any difference from the printed mushaf, tell us straight away through the support page.
- Reviewers of the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places get review accounts to check the mushaf as users see it.
Mushaf sources

|---|---|---|
| King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex (مجمع الملك فهد لطباعة المصحف الشريف) | The Madinah mushaf, 1421H edition: the word script, the mushaf page fonts (QCF V2), and the fallback font “KFGQPC Uthmanic Script HAFS” | Rights belong to the Complex. The HAFS font is distributed free of charge, unmodified and not for sale, under the Complex's licence. We are asking the Complex for written permission for the other uses. |
| Quran Foundation (quran.com) | Downloading the mushaf page fonts (QCF V2) from the Quran Foundation network, and cross-checking mushaf data during development | Under the Quran Foundation developer terms, with attribution; the fonts are used inside the app only. |
| Quranic Universal Library (QUL) — Tarteel | Mushaf page layout data (the lines and words on each page) and the word script | QUL code under the MIT licence; the data under QUL's terms, and we have asked for written permission to use it. |
| Tanzil Project | The simple-script text used for search only, and the data on juz, hizb, quarters, sajdas and surah names | Creative Commons CC BY 3.0: verbatim copies with no alteration, with attribution and a link to tanzil.net to follow its updates. |
Hadith
- No hadith is published until a qualified sheikh has reviewed and approved it, and the grading of every hadith is always shown.
- The hadith texts are taken from the references given with each hadith (such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim and the Sunan), including an-Nawawi's Forty and Ibn Rajab's additions in Jami' al-'Ulum wal-Hikam, through sunnah.com under its terms, and from printed editions for what it does not have.

Static pages with no framework. The Readex Pro font is hosted by us; only the “Delete account” page loads the supabase-js library (MIT) at a pinned version with a file integrity check, and Cloudflare Turnstile.
